4th IoT Security Conference – Online series #1
4th IoT Security Conference
ENISA, Europol and CERT-EU are co-organising a series of webinars to raise awareness on the security of the Internet of Things (IoT). The conference aims to enable a broad discussion by bringing together experts from cybercrime units, CSIRTs, international organisations, private industry, regulatory agencies, and academia.
Each webinar will have an approximate duration of 1.5 hours and will open with a keynote speech followed by a panel discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the panel and ask questions on the discussion topics through a web conferencing tool.
Session 1: Operational IoT
With the Internet of Things, the distinguishing lines between the digital and the physical world are blurring. In this connected world with IoT and smart infrastructures, security and safety are tightly integrated, exacerbating relevant threats and risks. Any security breach in the Internet of Things cannot only severely affect the digital world, but more importantly, might lead to grave safety issues in the physical world and lead to harm.
With a great impact on citizens’ health, safety and privacy, the security threat landscape concerning the Internet of Things is extremely wide. There is an emerging need to comprehensively understand the threats and attacks on IoT infrastructure and use tools and mechanisms to enhance the security of IoT devices and services.
This webinar discusses operations and services providing actionable information regarding IoT devices, which can be processed and can be further used to ensure IoT cybersecurity.
